This gives you a glimpse at a variety of animation I've done so far!
My senior film at MassArt-- "A mixed media short film that reveals glimpses into unrelated lives, linked only by their proximity to one another. Nine characters coexist while isolated in parallel rooms."
An experimental animation I did as part of my Animation Portfolio class in senior year, during which we were told to explore our own aesthetic and make a film that appealed to us for personal reasons. This piece combines my love of collecting bottle caps, my tendency to draw little faces all the time, and my interest in color and texture.
For the Safety of You and Me on the T
Animation 4 final: make a PSA video for a topic of your choice. I chose "train safety," but with a humorous spin. I combined cut paper animation with Adobe After Effects to create this, and worked with a student at Berklee College of Music for the sound design.
Animation 3 final: create a short animation in three parts, with a twist ending. I used this assignment as an opportunity to explore stop motion in a more ambitious way than anything I'd done before, and I definitely learned a lot from the process.
I Really Should
Animation 3 assignment: create a short film inspired by and incoporating found sound from ubu.com.
If You Could Have One Superpower...
Animation 3 assignment: using the prompt "If you could have one superpower, what would it be?" record an interview with someone and animate the results. I spoke with my brother Mike and friend Ryann for this.
Digital Toolbox 2 final: use Adobe After Effects to make a short film about something you hate. I used After Effects puppet animation to tell the all-too-familiar story of increasingly crowded elevators.
Animation 3 assignment: advertise a chindogu, or "useful but useless" invention. We had to construct the invention with real materials ourselves before animating, making this even more of a fun challenge.
Animation 2 assignment: create ten stop motion transitions between objects, using various camera moves and techniques.
